Clean Tech Manufacturing
In partnership with Georgia Tech’s Strategic Energy Institute (SEI), GTMI is pioneering research in clean tech manufacturing. This emerging area focuses on developing sustainable manufacturing processes and technologies that minimize environmental impact while enhancing efficiency and productivity. By integrating advanced materials, renewable energy sources, and innovative production techniques, GTMI aims to create eco-friendly solutions that support a greener economy and promote long-term environmental stewardship.

Energy and Electrification
In partnership with SEI, the Renewable Bioproducts Institute, and the Institute for Matter and Systems, GTMI is advancing research in energy and electrification, focusing on innovative solutions to meet the growing demand for sustainable energy. A key highlight is GTMI’s new roll-to-roll pilot facility, which enables the scalable production of advanced materials for batteries, solar cells, and other energy devices. This facility supports the development of efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes that enhance the performance and accessibility of clean energy technologies.
